My love for working on equipment started young growing up on a small farm outside of Minerva. I went to a R.G. Drage CTC for my junior and senior year of highschool for heavy truck and diesel repair where I spent 2 years learning the ins and outs of diesel semi trucks. My first job out of highschool was working at an International truck dealership working on trucks and trailers. With the knowledge learned from working on trucks, I ventured into working on tractors and equipment on my farm and other local farms as my knowledge grew. After gaining as much experience as possible I followed another passion of mine, the railroad. It has been on 10 years and counting that I have been mastering my skills working on locomotives, pickup trucks, and rail maintenance. Now sitting at the Director of Rail Operations, I have broadened my skill sets to business management. I started Smoke & Steel in 2021 with the knowledge of a master mechanic and the dreams to start my own business. My expectations have been blown away over the last 2 years. I can't wait to see what the coming years have in store for my new company.
